Practice Nurse
Michelle graduated from St Vincents University Hospital Elm Park School of Nursing in 1999. She then spent a year in Australia gaining experience in Orthopaedic and General Surgical nursing. One returning to Ireland she worked as a triage and clinical nurse with Midoc, out of hours doctor on call service before joining a busy GP Practice in Portlaoise. Michelle joined the team at the Park Clinic as Practice Nurse in 2008.
Michelle has certification in family planning in conjunction with the Irish Family Planning Association. She has extensive experience in all aspects of nursing care, continuing her professional development in sexual health, phlebotomy, immunisation, anaphylaxis, diabetic management, cervical smear taking , ear care & wound management. Her special areas of interest include health promotion, women's health, immunisation and travel health.
Apart from offering an extensive range of nursing services, she also manages the childhood vaccination programme at the surgery.
