The Park Clinic provides advice to couples hoping to start a family. In the event that a couple is experiencing delays in conception, arrangements can be made for a detailed fertility assessment.
This includes:
Medical history and clinical examination.
Full blood profile screen(checks for underlying problems such as anaemia,throid disorders,low vitamin b12 or folate level)
FSH,LH,Oestradiol,Testosterone,Prolactin( checks for hormone imbalances such as polycystic ovarian syndrome,premature menopause,raised prolactin levels)
Day 21 Progesterone (confirms that ovulation has occurred during that particular cycle)
Semen analysis (helps to rule out a male cause for problems with conceiving)
Anti mullarian Hormone (assessment of ovarian function and the ovarian reserve)
The above baseline investigations are usually advised prior to referral to an infertility clinic.
