Our nurse lead STI screening service which is also open to patients who are not currently registered with the practice. You will need to request a double nurse appointment at the time of booking.
The Park Clinic provides a specialised STI Screening and Treatment service. Our approach is friendly and non-judgmental, and confidentiality is strictly maintained.
Our staff are fully trained to screen for and treat sexually transmitted infections in an understanding and helpful way so there is no need for you to feel embarrassed.
You can avail of this service whether you have symptoms or just want peace of mind.

What’s involved?
An STI screen usually involves a medical history and examination.Fluid samples, blood tests and swab test may be taken.
The typical screen will test for the following infections;

Chlamydia

Gonorrhoea

Hepatitis

HIV
-
Syphilis
-
Trichomonas
-
Herpes if indicated
Please avoid emptying your bladder for 2 hours prior to the consultation.
Most STI’s are easily treated at the clinic and for many common infections a one-day course of antibiotics may be all that is required.
We are happy to refer more complicated infections to a genito -urinary clinic.
